(a) Distance between Susan’s house and coffeeshop = 4m/s x (3×60)min = 720 m
(b) Distance between coffeeshop and grandmother’s house = 4500 – 720 = 3780 m
Time taken to travel between coffeeshop and grandmother’s house = 3780 / 6 = 630 s
Total time taken = 630 + 3×60 + 10 x 60 = 1410 s
Average speed = 4500 m/ 1410 s = \( 3 \frac{9}{47}\) m/s
